Cybersecurity Experts: No Proof of Russian Hacking U.S. Election [VIDEO]

WordFence has cybersecurity experts because the company offers security from hacking to WordPress, a widely-used blogging platform. As such, they have the competence to evaluate the government’s alleged evidence for the alleged hacking.

The Daily Caller reports,

“Our security analysts spend a lot of time analyzing PHP malware, because WordPress is powered by PHP,” the blog post written by WordFence founder and CEO Mark Maunder said in a post Friday. “We used the PHP malware indicator of compromise (IOC) that DHS provided to analyze the attack data that we aggregate to try to find the full malware sample.”

WordFence was able to find the name of the malware and the version. Maunder said it is a malware called “P.A.S. 3.1.0.,” which was available for download on a site that is currently down.

The tech CEO wrote: “The PHP malware sample they have provided appears to be P.A.S. version 3.1.0 which is commonly available and the website that claims to have authored it says they are Ukrainian. It is also several versions behind the most current version of P.A.S which is 4.1.1b. One might reasonably expect Russian intelligence operatives to develop their own tools or at least use current malicious tools from outside sources.”

In a series of FAQs published Monday, Maunder continued to criticize the DHS/FBI report. He said TechFence reviewed IP addresses that the DHS said were behind hacking efforts and found that they “belong to over 380 organizations and many of those organizations are well known website hosting providers from where many attacks originate. There is nothing in the IP data that points to Russia specifically.”

So, in addition to Julian Assange’s denial that the email came from Russia, we have additional testimony from cybersecurity experts that that the allegations leaked by intelligence agents are without basis as far as forensic evidence is concerned.

Yet the media and the Democrats are reviving the culture of Joe McCarthy in order to excuse their election loss and marginalize Donald Trump (see Tad Cronn’s excellent piece on this). For those who know George Orwell’s novel, 1984, pundits and politicians are acting like they are organizing “hate week” in Oceana against the enemies in Eurasia.

You’ve got to admit that the media seems to be owning the motto, “Ignorance is Strength.”

Why does anyone believe this “It’s Russia’s fault” story? Obviously, the Democrats have a deep need to deny they have been rejected by the nation. Barack Obama wants to believe the Trump victory does not mean anything. Claiming Russia hacked the election gives him the excuse that he needs and wants.

Barack Obama has plenty of Democrats firmly embedded in the federal bureaucracies, including the intelligence agencies. They have the same need to believe that the last election doesn’t count. Their “informants” overseas undoubtedly also know what these intelligence agencies want to hear. Is there any reason to give accusations coming through such a biased pipeline as much weight as the testimony of cybersecurity experts?
