No, The Russian Government Didn’t Hack Our Election

So the entire liberal portion of this country is freaking out because they think the Russian government hacked our presidential election to hand it over to Donald Trump. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is based completely on a Washington Post article that says the CIA has confirmed Russian government hackers turned the election in Trump’s favor but a closer read shows this isn’t even remotely the truth.

Fake news opponents The Washington Post came out with this fake news story: Secret CIA assessment says Russia was trying to help Trump win White House

And here’s the “blockbuster” revelation:

The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter.

Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.

Well gosh, I guess those Russian bastards did hack our election, except they didn’t as proved by the same WaPo article:

The CIA presentation to senators about Russia’s intentions fell short of a formal U.S. assessment produced by all 17 intelligence agencies. A senior U.S. official said there were minor disagreements among intelligence officials about the agency’s assessment, in part because some questions remain unanswered.

For example, intelligence agencies do not have specific intelligence showing officials in the Kremlin “directing” the identified individuals to pass the Democratic emails to WikiLeaks, a second senior U.S. official said. Those actors, according to the official, were “one step” removed from the Russian government, rather than government employees. Moscow has in the past used middlemen to participate in sensitive intelligence operations so it has plausible deniability.

In other words, there is no evidence that anyone connected to the Russian government hacked the DNC or John Podesta’s emails and there’s less than no evidence that the Russian government directed the hacked e-mails to be released to WikiLeaks. That’s not a “minor discrepancy” it’s a complete lack of evidence for anything this article claims. There is not one thing in existence that points to the Russian government having anything to do with hacked e-mails or influence in the US presidential election.

Even if you believe this conspiracy theory, which the WaPo has already proven is fake, there are a number of problems with it.

First, the leaked DNC and Podesta e-mails had no influence on the election. All they really showed was that Hillary Clinton is a horrible person and that her campaign was kind of worried that she was a horrible person. Liberals didn’t care and conservatives already knew it.

Second, you’d have to believe that the Russian government was willing to go to war in an effort to prove that Hillary is kind of a shit. This level of espionage that is being claimed is an act of war, so if the Russian government was really behind it, we could be looking at WWIII.

Third, if the Russians had their way, they would want a weak leader like Hillary Clinton to win the presidency. Donald Trump is a no BS guy who won’t take crap from any foreign government. Hillary would have continued Obama’s and her own policy of letting Russia do whatever the hell they want.

The Russians didn’t hack voting machines to swing the election in Trump’s favor. There is also no evidence that they had anything to do with the leaked e-mails, which had no bearing on the election. At some point the liberals need to come to grips with the fact that Hillary lost the election because she wasn’t a good candidate and the democrats message didn’t resonate with the American people. It wasn’t racism, fake news, or Russian hackers; just a shitty person running a terrible campaign.
