Donald Trump may not be in the White House yet, but he still supports a “Muslim ban.” Although, it may be a bit different than we all expect. According to a report from WND, Trump intends to “jump-start” legislation to classify the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. FINALLY!
A bit of history: the legislation was first introduced in 2015 by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. As expected, it has been held up by the Obama administration who refuse to recognize the Egyption organization–and it’s cousin CAIR–as a terrorist group.
In a logical contrast, Trump has implied he would be willing to sign the legislation. In fact, a Trump adviser told Egyption television America’s 45th president would make it a priority.
The Muslim Brotherhood was first founded in 1928 as a nationalist group. In the 1970s, it was re-organized in an effort to spread Islamic perspectives.
