FIRST PICTURE: Jesus’ resurrection slab REVEALED 

The stone, which has not been seen since 1555, was recently excavated during renovation work on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The limestone slab is supposedly where Jesus was laid after his death and his subsequent resurrection.

Last week that researchers from National Geographic and the University of Athens were examining the Tomb of Christ as reparation work had begun on the site following years of neglect.

The experts were left shocked to find the burial shelf was still intact following almost 1,600 years of isolation.
