Chuck Smith, USMC/USN Veteran for Virginia AG- Courage in Leadership 

Chuck Smith is running for State Attorney General in Virginia. He’s not a push-over, either, he’s a Marine, so he would be fearless in the position. It’s his Marine strength, his JAG experience, and his ability to stand tall even when being treated like a rug mat that makes him perfect for the job. (And to boot, his birthday is the 4th of July.)

Military background

His Military service spans 26 years of active, inactive, and reserve: U.S. Marine Corps (0311) Infantry 1972-1976 and as a U.S. Navy JAG Commander (2505) Ret. 2008.

When others sought deferment during the draft of the Vietnam war years, Smith enlisted in the Marine Corps. He says he “felt the call” and it gave him courage, both for the past and for the future… something particularly needed now.
